Artist Statement

【スチームパンクと彫刻の融合】

スチームパンクとは、1980~90年代初頭まで人気を博した、サイエンス・フィクションのサブジャンル。日本では明治〜大正の文明開化から大正浪漫の雰囲気がこの世界観にあたり、そこにSFやファンタジーの要素が組み込まれています。そんなスチームパンクの要素を取り入れた彫刻を制作しています。不思議な動物達による空想科学の世界をお楽しみ下さい。

[Fusion of steampunk and sculpture]

Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction that was popular from the 1980s to the early 1990s. In Japan, this worldview is based on the Taisho Romantic atmosphere from the Meiji to Taisho era of civilization and enlightenment, and incorporates elements of science fiction and fantasy. I create sculptures that incorporate elements of steampunk. Enjoy the world of science fiction created by mysterious animals.
