Artist Statement
マイノリティであるがゆえに、マジョリティが当たり前とされることが多い世界では、まるで存在を否定されているかのような生きづらさがある。しかしマイノリティだからこそ他の誰にも分からない『まなざし』を持っていて、その心の深い深い部分では、とても純粋な喜びが渦巻きながら満ちているのではないか。 その喜びこそが、マジョリティのなかで生きていく強さになっているのではないかと、私は感じている。
「あなたは、ありのままのそのままで、喜びに満ち溢れた素晴らしい存在なのだ」と、
私は、自身の作品表現を通して、様々なマイノリティを生きるすべての人に伝えたい。
"Because we are minorities, living in a world where what is considered normal is often defined by the majority can feel as though our very existence is being denied. However, it is precisely because we are minorities that we possess a unique 'gaze' that no one else can understand. In the deepest parts of our hearts, I believe there is a pure joy that swirls and fills us. I feel that this joy is what gives us the strength to live within the majority."
