Artist Statement
初回から参加しているアート亀山から現亀山トリエンナーレでは、その場所の環境や歴史を考え、取り入れながらの展示に重点をおいて来ました。
生業としてきたデザインは、他者の視覚的代弁者であって芸術でもARTでもないという思いがありつつも、デザインを生かした「ものづくり」への挑戦と、関わった自然環境アートイベント等をきっかけに、自分を含む人間やあらゆる生き物を取り巻く環境や自然の変化に危機感を覚え、現状を含む環境、その場への思いを形ある作品として表現したいという思いで、ランドアートとして自然物や、廃棄物（端材）なども素材に使い、立体造形やインスタレーションを展示しています。
From the very first Art Kameyama event to the current Kameyama Triennale, I have focused on exhibitions that take into account and incorporate the environment and history of the locations. Although I have long believed that design, which has been my profession, is not art or ART in the true sense, but rather the visual representation of others, my involvement in 'making things' through design, as well as my participation in environmental art events, sparked a sense of crisis regarding the changes in the environment surrounding humans and all living creatures, including myself. This led me to a strong desire to express my thoughts on the current environment and the spaces I encounter through tangible works. As a form of land art, I use natural objects and discarded materials (scrap wood, etc.) to create and exhibit three-dimensional works and installations.
