宿場町の聖域と糧を映し出すこれらのコラージュは、内省する一時停止として機能し、鑑賞者に織り目加工の表面を探索し、癒し、変容、回復力という個人的な物語を持ったそれぞれの比喩的な構造に住み着く避難所となるよう手招きします。

Mirroring the sanctuary and sustenance of shukuba-machi, these collages serve as reflective pauses, beckoning viewers to explore the textured surfaces and take refuge as they inhabit each metaphoric structure with their own personal tales of healing, transformation, and resilience.

　

自己紹介

Biography

ワシントン州シアトル出身のライアン・ミラーは、ニューヨーク州ブルックリンのコラージュアーティスト、デザイナー、版画家です。 PNCA 卒業生 ('16) である彼は、ELM Foundation のクリエイティブ ディレクターおよびメンターを務めています。ボイラー。展覧会/レジデンス: ゴースト ギャラリー ('20)、アラビカ ラウンジ ('12)、ミラグロ ('08)。

Originally from Seattle, WA, Ryan Miller is a collage artist, designer, and printmaker in Brooklyn, NY. A PNCA graduate ('16), he is Creative Director and Mentor at ELM Foundation | The Boiler. Exhibitions/Residencies: Ghost Gallery ('20), Arabica Lounge ('12), Milagro ('08).

Artist Statement

私のペーパーコラージュでは、発見された資料や写真を通じて癒しと成長を探求し、物語を解体し、再構築します。それぞれの構造は、見る人に個人的な物語や願望を振り返るよう促し、再解釈と内省を促進します。

　

In my paper collages, I explore healing and growth, deconstructing and reconstructing narratives through found materials and photos. Each construction invites viewers to reflect on personal narratives and aspirations, fostering reinterpretation and introspection.
