Biography
1977年、東京生まれ。ドローイングやコラージュを中心に制作活動。2000年、武蔵野美術大学卒業。2005年、Royal College of Art, MA修了。200７-08年、Cite Internationale des Arts滞在。2011-12年、中国美術学院 中国国費奨学生。2023年、梅田版画工房賞受賞。2022年、ANY KOBE WITH ARTs 2022 加藤義夫賞受賞。国際切り絵コンクール 優秀賞受賞。2017年、ポコラートvol.7 堀浩哉賞受賞。2015年、宮本三郎記念賞受賞。2010年、“世紀のダ・ヴィンチを探せ！” 大賞受賞。その他活動歴・受賞歴等多数。
Born in Tokyo in 1977. My creative activities focus on drawing and collage. Graduated from Musashino Art University in 2000. Completed MA at Royal College of Art in 2005. Stayed at Cite Internationale des Arts in 2007-08. 2011-12: China Academy of Art Scholarship recipient. In 2023, won the Umeda Print Studio Award. In 2022, won the ANY KOBE WITH ARTs 2022 Yoshio Kato Award. Received the Excellence Award at the International Paper-cutting Contest. In 2017, won the Pokorat vol.7 Hiroya Hori Award. In 2015, won the Saburo Miyamoto Memorial Award. In 2010, won the Grand Prize for “Search for the Da Vinci of the Century!” Many other activities, awards, etc.
Artist Statement
ドローイングは自己の創作活動の源泉であり、その役割はひとつではない。ある時は、最終目的に向かうための初期ラフスケッチ（イメージに焦点を合わせる作業）であり、その行為自体が作家としてのトレーニングとなる。ある時は、実体として掴む事のできない毎日の中で、自己の感情や記憶や言葉を「せん、いろ、かたち」として吐き出す手記の様なものであり、多くの場合スケッチブックワークとして反映される。またある時は、絵を創画するための下絵としてではなく、それ自体で自立した（心技体の乖離を許さない状態）作品としてのドローイングとなる。思考する間もなく、手足が先に出る、現実と想像狭間の遊戯。その歓喜の中にしか我存在せず。
Drawing is the source of one's own creative activities, and its role is not unique. Sometimes it's just an initial rough sketch (focusing on an image) in order to reach a final goal, and that act itself becomes training as a writer. At times, it is like a memo in which I pour out my feelings, memories, and words in the form of "text, color, and form" in my daily life, which cannot be grasped as something tangible, and in many cases, it is reflected in sketchbook work. . At other times, the drawing becomes an independent work of its own (a state in which the mind, technique, and body do not diverge), rather than as a sketch for creating a painting. Before you even think about it, your hands and feet come out first, a game between reality and imagination. I exist only in that joy.
