Exhibition Plan Summary
I'm a painter. I originally exhibited my work in galleries, but one day I decided that I wanted to paint freely in the air outdoors. I was looking for various ways. The easiest method for me was to paint the wood with acrylic paint and assemble the wood instead of using a paintbrush. ``Three-dimensional painting'' Rather than representing a mass (existence) like a sculpture, a painting is a three-dimensional virtual image within two dimensions. I draw the world in my head in three dimensions, and the work in front of me is a virtual image without reality. I want to create works that are liberated from the body and feel weightless.
Biography
Contemporary artist. Born in Hokkaido. He realized that Hokkaido was a frontier of Japanese culture and that he had few opportunities to experience tradition. I felt like I was in a different culture, experiencing a culture shock when visiting temples and other places. I created this work with the aim of ``rebuilding the culture'' that was lost within myself even though I was born in Japan. By examining the relationship between Japanese architecture and painting, he came up with the idea of ``three-dimensional painting.'' During the production and exhibition, the audience becomes involved like a character. Continuing with everyday life. Apply acrylic paint to wood and draw pictures in the air. It feels like drawing a picture in the air. In order to draw directly in three dimensions, one must be freed from gravity.
Artist Statement
Think about how you can surprise and move people. I want my work to be useful to the world. I want to convey the joy of art not only to those involved in the arts, but also to the general public and children. My work is not a sculpture. I create works with the desire to freely draw pictures in the air. Using the air as a canvas, he paints in all directions. Painters are always aware of the support of their paintings, and perceive space by cutting out the frame. In abstract painting, I think about using grit to create space through cutting action. Rather than viewing a three-dimensional object as a real object, the brain converts it into a flat object.
